FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 16, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Pascal Siakam (vs ORL – $7,800): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.8 fantasy points against Orlando. Siakam played great all season and he was great in Game 1. He’s going to be a matchup problem for the Magic all series and as I’ve been saying throughout this slideshow, the Raptors will be better in Game 2. They just can’t win Game 1 for some reason. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Aaron Gordon (at TOR – $7,100): Needs 30.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.5 fantasy points against Toronto. I don’t fully trust Aaron Gordon but I also don’t trust LaMarcus Aldridge at the higher salary. Aldridge has a higher ceiling because he can get hot and not miss a single shot. But Gordon might be slightly more reliable. This is a position to save some cash. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Jerami Grant (at POR – $5,600): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28 fantasy points against Portland. Grant didn’t even play well in Game 1 but still did enough to be slightly over value. That’s a good sign moving forward. The minute will continue to be there for him and I suspect he’ll play better in Game 2 because I suspect OKC as a whole will play better. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Al-Farouq Aminu (vs OKC – $5,500): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.4 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. Aminu has been playing well against the Thunder all season and he remains at a decent enough salary given the minutes he gets. I know Paul Millsap had a poor outing in Game 1, but he’s a veteran who can bounce back. Aminu is more reliable but Millsap has the higher ceiling. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
