FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 16, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Nikola Jokic (vs SA – $10,600): Needs 48.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 57.8 fantasy points against San Antonio. Jokic didn’t get enough shots in Game 1 but he still delivered a big outing because he’s the best player on the floor. The Nuggets will continue to need him to be great if they want to win this series. And I think he can continue to be great. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Enes Kanter (vs OKC – $7,800): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.6 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. I don’t know if Kanter can put together the same performance but I know that when he’s able to stay on the floor, he can always be in for a big night simply because numbers are not an issue. The minutes are the issue for him on most nights. But the minutes should keep being there for him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Steven Adams (at POR – $6,500): Needs 29.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.3 fantasy points against Portland. This is still a great matchup for Adams and one the Thunder will continue to take advantage of. Kanter may have put up the bigger numbers, but Adams is the more reliable option just because he’s more consistent and there is no worry about whether or not he can stay on the floor. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Marc Gasol (vs ORL – $5,700): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.2 fantasy points against Orlando. Gasol just hasn’t lived up to the hype in Toronto but he’s going to keep getting minutes and make some kind of an impact. And we know the ceiling is high with him because he’s still a very good player. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
