Offensive Lineman. Alabama. Jonah Williams. 16. player. 87.

The Carolina Panthers looked to be steamrolling towards the playoffs last season, as they were winning games at an impressive clip early on. Unfortunately, the team won only one of their final eight games, as they lost seven in a row, and only a victory in the season finale helped them avoid an 0-8 second half.

The real issue for this team last season was that Cam Newton’s arm failed him late in the season, as he had to deal with an injury to his throwing shoulder. In fact, the team actually shut him down towards the end of last season, and it will be important for him to come back healthy if the Panthers want any chance of competing in a deep NFC South.

With their first round pick, the Panthers should look to bring in some help along the offensive line, and Jonah Williams is one of the better offensive linemen in this draft class. He is a guy who could play all along the offensive line at the next level, as he was an All-American offensive tackle at Alabama, and could be an All-Pro at guard.

There is a lot to like about this Panthers team, as they have an absolutely electric running back, and their defense should be solid again in 2019. If Newton is healthy, they should at least challenge for a Wild Card spot, but if he falters again next season, it is going to be another long season for the Panthers.
