Ohio State. Nick Bosa. 2. player. 42. . Edge

The San Francisco 49ers went into the 2018 NFL season with high expectations, especially after quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo led them to five straight victories to close out the 2017 campaign. They made some nice moves to improve their roster last offseason, bringing in talent on both sides of the ball, but they were ravaged by the injury bug early on.

Due to that, the 49ers won only four games, and find themselves holding the No. 2 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. With that pick, they should look to bring in the best edge rusher available in this draft class, and Nick Bosa has the talent to be a generational talent on the edge for this team during his career.

In addition, San Francisco is in prime position to move out of the No. 2 overall pick, possibly enticing the New York Giants to move up to select a quarterback if they really covet one of them. Either way, this is a roster that is going to get a lot better in the 2019 NFL Draft, as they enter year three of the Kyle Shanahan Era in San Francisco.

The 49ers did bring in talent to help on the edge this offseason, including former Kansas City Chiefs star Dee Ford. This is not the biggest area of need for this roster, but Bosa is that good, and the team is going to have a hard time passing up on him this early in the first round.
