Quinnen Williams. 4. player. 28. . Defensive Tackle. Alabama

The Oakland Raiders hold three first round picks later this month, and while people are clamoring for them to trade up to No.1 to get Kyler Murray from Oklahoma, that would be a nightmare. This is a team that already has a franchise quarterback in Derek Carr, and with a bunch of holes on their roster, they need to utilize all three first rounders in 2019.

While defensive tackle is not a huge need for the Raiders, if Alabama’s Quinnen Williams is available there, they have to take him. Williams is a guy who could be a cornerstone of this defense for years to come, and he would join a position group that already has a ton of young talent.

Sure, Oakland needs help on the edge, especially after racking up only 13 sacks as a team last season, but they can attack that position group later on in round one. Oakland has done a nice job building up this roster in many areas of need this offseason, and picking this high in round one, you cannot select a guy just based on need.

Oakland is going to be a team  that everybody has their eyes on this April, as whatever they do will have a tremendous ripple affect across the entire first round. This is a huge opportunity for new general manager Mike Mayock to rebuild this roster for the long haul, and trading away assets they worked so hard to possess seems like a bad scenario for the Raiders on draft night.
