DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 17, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Kyrie Irving (vs IND – $8,300): Needs 40.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.25 fantasy points against Indiana. The Pacers just need to survive the third quarter and not miss almost every shot. Kyrie is going to do his thing and if the game is competitive, that makes it even better for him. He’s going to get his numbers regardless because he’s the best player on the floor and can put up big scoring and playmaking numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Eric Bledsoe (vs DET – $6,500): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.25 fantasy points against Detroit. You can go with Chris Paul in this spot as his minutes are more guaranteed but I like Bledsoe as I expect the Pistons to make things slightly more competitive. Not much more. But slightly more competitive. And Bledsoe has always killed the Pistons. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Ricky Rubio (at HOU – $5,700): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.25 fantasy points against Houston. Rubio was very good in Game 1 and the Rockets seem content on letting him do what he wants by making sure everyone else is ineffective. It’s not a bad strategy and if that’s the route they are going, that will make Rubio that much more desirable. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
George Hill (vs DET – $3,800): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.25 fantasy points against Detroit. I continue to like Hill as a salary saver as the minutes will be there whether it’s because he’s a veteran or because it’s a blowout. He should get you value at a low cost if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
