DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 17, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
James Harden (vs UTA – $10,700): Needs 50.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58 fantasy points against Utah. It’s James Harden and you know what you’re getting out of Harden in this series. He is going to get his numbers without an issue and you can build around him without question. The only concern is just an off night, not anything the Jazz have shown they can do. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Donovan Mitchell (at HOU – $8,000): Needs 38 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.25 fantasy points against Houston. As I mentioned previously, the Rockets seem like they are going to cut off Mitchell and Ingles, which is the smart play. That makes Mitchell less reliable but he’s still high ceiling guy because we know he can get hot and get going with the best in the league. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Reggie Jackson (at MIL – $5,200): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.25 fantasy points against Milwaukee. I don’t love Reggie but someone has to get numbers for the Pistons and with Blake Griffin out of the lineup, Reggie is their best scoring option. The Pistons will be slightly better in this game and Reggie will get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
Eric Gordon (vs UTA – $4,800): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.25 fantasy points against Utah. The Rockets had no trouble picking apart the Jazz in Game 1 and they should find similar success in Game 2. Gordon is at a good salary given his minutes and opportunities. He can be hit-and-miss and go cold at any moment, which does hurt his reliability. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
