High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Rudy Gobert (at HOU – $7,800): Needs 38.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40 fantasy points against Houston. Gobert is another guy that the Rockets are paying attention to without paying too much attention to. He just can’t beat them with anything other than his inside game. And even though the rebounds will be there, the Rockets takes so many 3s that they miss long, so rebounds aren’t there as much as you’d like. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Clint Capela (vs UTA – $7,000): Needs 34.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37 fantasy points against Utah. I still prefer Clint Capela simply because he’s at a lower salary and finds his way into more numbers due to his role on the Rockets offense and his ability to get easier rebounds due to Utah’s offense. He has a similar ceiling to Capela at a lower cost. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Brook Lopez (vs DET – $5,800): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.75 fantasy points against Detroit. As with everyone on the Bucks, minutes are a concern. Lopez will get numbers for as long as he’s in the game and he does have a high ceiling because gets plenty of shots while also chipping in with rebounds and defense. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Derrick Favors (at HOU – $5,400): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.5 fantasy points against Houston. Favors has made this more of his matchup than last year, which is a good sign for his value. I still don’t totally love him but the minutes seem to be there and he does have a good ceiling if the Jazz can make things more competitive. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
