FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 17, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Kyrie Irving (vs IND – $9,000): Needs 39.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.5 fantasy points against Indiana. If the Pacers can make things a little more competitive, that would be better for Kyrie’s numbers. But he’s going to get the minutes and he’s still the best player on the floor. Always trust the best player on the floor in. The playoffs. He’ll get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Eric Bledsoe (vs DET – $7,600): Needs 33.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.1 fantasy points against Detroit. Minutes are a concern for Bledsoe and if you want someone who will get more guaranteed minutes, you can spend more on Chris Paul. But I expect the Pistons to be a little better, leading to more minutes for Bledsoe, leading to better numbers. He’s dominated the Pistons throughout the season. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Ricky Rubio (at HOU – $6,500): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.6 fantasy points against Houston. The Rockets seem content with letting Rubio get his numbers while they seal off Mitchell and Ingles. It’s a great strategy and if you’re looking to scoop up Rubio for your team, it’s an even better strategy. He’s inconsistent, but the game plan for him to succeed is in place. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
George Hill (vs DET – $4,200): Needs 18.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.6 fantasy points against Detroit. Hill is going to get minutes either because he’s a veteran or because the Bucks are going to blow out the Pistons once again. So take advantage of his lack of salary and use him as a cost saver who is going to get you around value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
