3. Rock Ya-Sin

If the Colts want to take a bigger gamble at cornerback they could easily turn their attention towards Ya-Sin. Playing for Temple didn’t give him the same experience as guys like Baker and Murphy, but his athleticism gives him a real chance to shine at the next level.

Ya-Sin tested well at the Combine by measuring in at just a shade over six feet tall and a sturdy 192 pounds. More importantly, he satisfied any skepticism about his top-end speed by running a 4.51 40-yard dash in Indianapolis.

Ya-Sin is a guy that needs to play on the outside if a team wants to get the most value possible from him. His feet aren’t quite good enough to handle slot receivers in the NFL. If the Colts go with the former Owls star, expect him to start right away on the boundary.

It would be a major surprise if Ya-Sin isn’t on the board when the Colts go on the clock. Ballard will have to decide whether or not he’s the best available prospect when that happens. Don’t be shocked if he rolls the dice on the big, physical corner.
