2. Terry McLaurin

Make no mistake about it, loads of Colts fans are desperate to see their beloved team give Luck some help in this draft. Signing Devin Funchess in free agency gives Indianapolis a big receiver to win physical battles, but only T.Y. Hilton has the speed and quickness to really threaten opposing defenses.

McLaurin definitely has a ton of speed. The minute he finished running his 4.35 40-yard dash at the Combine his draft stock started to shoot through the roof. He’s far from a perfect prospect though.

His lack of production during his time at Ohio State is a serious concern for quite a few NFL talent evaluators. He only caught 35 passes during his senior season, but he did average 20 yards per catch. It’s not as if he played with a bad quarterback. Dwayne Haskins is expected to go much higher than his teammate in Round 1.

Ballard isn’t a GM who will be afraid to take a big risk even if it is with his first round pick. McLaurin has the natural talent to turn into a top target for Luck, but he could also be a colossal bust. The Colts are an ideal landing spot for the former Buckeyes star.
