10 best games on 2019 NFL schedule
1. Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots
Our fourth and final playoff rematch on this list is going to be a doozy. The Chiefs and Patriots played two tremendous football games a year ago, and we’re already counting down the days until Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady square off at Gillette Stadium.
The first ever meeting between the two star quarterbacks came in Foxboro on Sunday Night Football in Week 6, with New England racing out to a huge lead before the Chiefs mounted a furious comeback in the second half. The Pats escaped with a win on a late field goal, leaving the Chiefs full of confidence they could beat New England in the future.
Kansas City got its shot in the AFC Championship game, where they again fell behind New England early but rallied to take the lead late in the second half, only to watch a potential game ending interception come off the board when Dee Ford lined up offsides. The Pats ended up scoring a touchdown on the drive to go back in front, but Mahomes drove the Chiefs for a game tying field goal to force overtime.

New England won the coin toss in the extra session and went right down the field to score the winning touchdown, leaving Mahomes helplessly watching on the sidelines as his defense couldn’t get him the ball. That failure cost defensive coordinator Bob Sutton his job and has left the Chiefs with a huge chip on their shoulder entering this showdown with the Pats.
AFC supremacy should be on the line here, and Mahomes is highly motivated to get his first ever win over Brady and New England to put Kansas City firmly on top of the conference’s pecking order.
