High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Stephen Curry (at LAC – $10,400): Needs 46 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.2 fantasy points against LA Clippers. The Bad Boy was down just a tad against the Clippers and the Warriors definitely have a weird energy after blowing a 31-point lead. But they are also the Warriors. And I’m not in the business of doubting them. They’ll bounce back and remind everyone why they’ve won three of the last four titles. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Ben Simmons (at BKN – $9,900): Needs 43.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Simmons looked much better in Game 2, which is probably going to happen given how bad he was in. Game 1. You can go with Jamal Murray but I don’t know how much I trust him on the road against the Spurs. Simmons has more experience and the better matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick White (vs DEN – $5,400): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.8 fantasy points against Denver. The Spurs are at home and that makes me like their role players. Remember, role players always play better at home in the playoffs. And White isn’t even in a role player. He’s a big minutes guy who gets plenty of opportunities. I expect him to deliver big in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Landry Shamet (vs GS – $4,800): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.3 fantasy points against Golden State. Being on the road worries me about Shamet but I do like his game overall. You can go with Beverley, whose minutes are more guaranteed and who will find a way to contribute. But Shamet is going to get shots and is at a decent enough salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
