Joel Embiid (at BKN – $11,000): Needs 49.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.5 fantasy points against Brooklyn. I don’t know if Embiid is going to play in this game but I suspect he will. I also don’t know if he’s going to log big minutes. He’s a risk at this salary with those unknown factors. He has a high ceiling, but there is a more reliable option under him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Jokic (at SA – $10,700): Needs 48.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.6 fantasy points against San Antonio. Jokic has been very good in the series and while I have some reservations about him seeing as the Nuggets are now on the road, Jokic is the best player in the series and they will need the best player to step up. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Boban Marjanovic (at BKN – $5,800): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.1 fantasy points against Brooklyn. I’m not in love with Boban’s salary but he’s going to get decent enough minutes, especially if Embiid doesn’t end up playing. I’d like him a bit more if his salary was a bit less but he’s got the ceiling if nothing else. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Andrew Bogut (at LAC – $4,500): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.3 fantasy points against LA Clippers. I suspect Bogut will draw the start for the Warriors. I still believe that Looney will end up playing more minutes and get more opportunities. But Bogut knows the system and is surrounded by talent. You can also look towards Poeltl if you want to save some money. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
