1. Garrett Bradbury

There’s something poetic about the idea of the Chargers drafting an NC State player to help protect arguably the greatest quarterback in the school’s history. If Bradbury is still available at No. 28, he’s a guy Los Angeles should rush to the podium to select.

Bradbury is a center by trade, but he played guard early in his college career. He’s not good enough to knock Mike Pouncey out of his starting spot at center, but he represents an immediate upgrade over either Dan Feeney or Michael Schofield at guard.

He’s not the same level of mauler that Ford would be for Los Angeles, but he’s a much better technician. Bradbury should be able to stymie would be interior pass rushers right away. That ability is crucial for any interior lineman the Chargers might add this season.

Bradbury has a ton of fans in the scouting world and he deserves the positive attention. The only question teams have is just how valuable can a finesse based interior offensive lineman be in the modern NFL. The Chargers will give a clear answer if Bradbury is still on the board when they are put on the clock.
