NFL schedule 2019: Biggest game for all 32 teams
Cincinnati Bengals: vs. Cleveland Browns
It may be hard to believe, but the Cincinnati Bengals played well enough in the early season that they were flexed into a primetime game on Sunday Night Football. Andy Dalton and company promptly turned into pumpkins against the Kansas City Chiefs, a precursor to their complete collapse after Andy Dalton got hurt in November.
Jeff Driskel finished the season under center for the Bengals, who finally moved on from long time head coach Marvin Lewis after the year. Lewis was replaced by Los Angeles Rams’ quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor, the latest Sean McVay disciple to take over an NFL team.
The Bengals could be a sneaky wild card contender in 2019, but in order to do that they will need to outlast their in-state rivals in the AFC North. The Browns are the NFL’s most hyped team entering the season, with the addition of Odell Beckham Jr making them the betting favorites to win the division.
The Bengals were swept by the Browns in 2018, but Dalton didn’t play in either contest. A healthy Dalton could prove to be a huge difference maker for the Bengals in these games, and Cincinnati fans have to hope that Taylor can unlock another dimension for the Bengals’ offense.
