DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 19, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Paul George (vs POR – $8,700): Needs 40.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42 fantasy points against Portland. George will continue to get numbers even if shots don’t continue to fall. I expect the Thunder to show up for at least two quarters and if they don’t, that’s their season. George always has a high ceiling but I’m not feeling him as much as the guy below him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Kawhi Leonard (at ORL – $8,200): Needs 37.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 53.5 fantasy points against Orlando. Kawhi’s ceiling is just as high as George’s right now and he’s the more reliable player, largely due to the lower salary and the better matchup. Expect a big performance from Kawhi with the Raptors on the road. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Thaddeus Young (vs BOS – $6,000): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.5 fantasy points against Boston. Young has played well in the series and with the Pacers now at home, he should continue to step his game up. Especially with Sabonis looking a bit overwhelmed at the moment. He should continue to get you at least value with a good ceiling. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Gordon Hayward (at IND – $5,300): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.75 fantasy points against Indiana. Hayward was down in Game 2 but he’s another guy who has been there on the road and can step up in this spot for the Celtics. I’m not ready to write him off after his strong finish to the season. He’ll bounce back and give you at least value in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
