FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 19, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Steven Adams (vs POR – $6,900): Needs 31 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.3 fantasy points against Portland. Adams was a bit down in Game 2 but Vucevic has been invisible in this series and Kanter I don’t exactly trust after his strong Game 1. Both guys have a higher ceiling than Adams, but Adams is the more reliable option. It’s up to you on how you want to play it. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Al Horford (at IND – $6,700): Needs 30.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25 fantasy points against Indiana. Horford is in the same boat as Adams. The two guys above him have the higher ceiling but Horford is a steady hand who is going to get his numbers without question in this game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Marc Gasol (at ORL – $6,200): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.1 fantasy points against Orlando. Gasol has been good enough for the Raptors in this series and he’s another guy who I trust to step up on the road because he has been here before. And he’s giving the Magic trouble even in limited minutes. If you want to save money and still get some reliable production, Gasol will be your option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Myles Turner (vs BOS – $6,100): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.6 fantasy points against Boston. Turner hasn’t really shown up in this series but with the series moving to Indiana, I have to trust that he shows up at some point. He’s too good of a player to remain invisible throughout this entire series. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
