8. Bliss bomb

When Rousey showed up as a surprise during the women’s Royal Rumble match no one knew she’d eventually be facing off against the the champions she stared down. Both Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair would become very important opponents for Rousey.

Bliss would be the first to incur Rousey’s wrath. After interfering in Rousey’s Raw Women’s Championship match against Nia Jax, and subsequently winning it for herself by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract, Bliss went on to taunt Rousey about it. She displayed her usual blend of charm and arrogance as she celebrated her win and mocked the welts on Rousey’s body from the assault “Little Miss Bliss” laid on her with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

An enraged Rousey went after Bliss, tearing through anyone who got in her way including acting Raw general manager Kurt Angle. Once Rousey got her hands on Bliss she hoisted her up and drove her through a table. The way in which Rousey lifted Bliss from a gutwrench up onto her shoulder before driving her through the wood made this spot look even more devastating.

As a result of her actions (and because she needed to promote a movie she’d completed months prior) Rousey would be suspended. But her dominant display in the ring showcased her as a violent and dangerous woman who should not be provoked. This was the Rousey fans knew from UFC: A fighter who dispatched her opponents within seconds using a powerful armbar. Once Rousey returned from suspension she received a title shot at Bliss at SummerSlam. The match wasn’t remarkable by any means, but it did mark Rousey’s very first title win in the WWE.
