DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 20, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Ben Simmons (at BKN – $8,500): Needs 40 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Simmons has been great in the last two games and if Embiid isn’t going to play once again, he should continue to be great. The Nets defense isn’t good and Simmons, despite his flaws, can still carve them up. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
DeMar DeRozan (vs DEN – $7,900): Needs 36.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.5 fantasy points against Denver. DeRozan has been steady in this series and I will continue to trust him as long as he plays for the Spurs. And he still plays for the Spurs. It’s not always pretty with him but he just continues to put up enough numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a god ceiling.
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Luke Kennard (vs MIL – $5,200): Needs 24 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Kennard has been very good in this series and while I’m not entirely sure it’s sustainable, he’s a nice little salary saver who is getting the minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
JJ Redick (at BKN – $5,000): Needs 23.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Redick found his shooting rhythm in Game 3 and hopefully that’s a good sign for him going into Game 4. The shots will continue to be there for him because they need his shooting. And given the shots he gets and the shooter he is, he’s a high ceiling option. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
