5. Jo Adell, OF

The Angels’ top prospect, Jo Adell, would be at the top of this list had he not suffered hamstring and ankle injuries during Spring Training this year. A true five-tool player who hit .290 with a .890 OPS across three levels last season, Adell is a top-15 prospect on most lists. However, with Adell still yet to have swung at live pitching or play in a game this season, it’s unlikely the Angels’ top prospect will be patrolling the outfield with Mike Trout in 2019.

However, Adell is a special player and if he is able to recover in time to put on a show in AA this season he could possibly still be an option for the Angels in September once rosters expand. But with all the injuries the Angels are already dealing with, rushing their top prospect to the big leagues during what looks to be another down year doesn’t make much sense.
