The Los Angeles Rams watched as Rodger Saffold left for more money in free agency. They also created their own hole at center with the surprising jettison of veteran John Sullivan. Risner can play anywhere on the line, something he showcased both during his time at Kansas State and also with a dominant performance in the Senior Bowl. Considering his versatility, he’s one of the more valuable linemen in this draft.

The Patriots almost have to go one of two ways here. Either take the best wide receiver on the board or take the top tight end. With T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant long gone, New England takes a shot at Irv Smith. While Smith didn’t put up eye-popping numbers at Alabama, he has all the traits to be a terrific player at the next level.
With Tom Brady turning 42 years old in August, the Patriots have to continue loading up around him. Following the retirement of Rob Gronkowski, the offensive depth chart is more barren than it has been in a decade. The choice of Smith helps ease that plight.
