. LB. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Devin White. 5. player. 48

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need defensive help and lots of it. Luckily, they can’t go wrong in a draft loaded to the hilt with defensive prospects. After losing Kwon Alexander in free agency to the 49ers, General Manager Jason Licht has to look long and hard at Devin White out of LSU.

White is going to command the middle of the defense for the next decade if all things go well, giving Tampa Bay something they haven’t truly had since the days of Derrick Brooks. Look for Tampa Bay to draft defense early and often over the next three days.

Ed Oliver. 6. player. 31. . DT. New York Giants

Everyone will have the New York Giants reaching for a quarterback, and that’ll happen … just not here. New York has so many needs on both sides of the ball, and taking Ed Oliver here alleviates one of them. Oliver has been talked about as a potential top pick for two years, and the tape shows why. He’s brutally physical and yet has the athleticism to make plays up and down the line.

With the Giants completely rebuilding their defense, Oliver is a terrific building block and a player that should have Big Blue fans happy as they await their second pick in the first round.
