14. player. 44. . Edge. Florida State. Brian Burns

The Atlanta Falcons were another one of those NFC teams that really disappointed in 2018, as they failed to make the playoffs. It was only two years ago that they held a 28-3 lead over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, but it has really been downhill ever since.

Early this offseason, the organization fired a bunch of their coaching staff, but decided to leave head coach Dan Quinn in place. It will be up to him to turn this thing around, and they certainly have the talent on both sides of the ball to do just that.

Looking at the 2019 NFL Draft, the Falcons need to do something to ensure that they are better off the edge, as they really struggled there last season. While Vic Beasley was once considered one of the dominant young edge rushers in the game, he has not produced over the last two seasons, and the Falcons may want to grab a guy like Brian Burns from Florida State at pick No. 14 overall.

During his time at Florida State, Burns established himself was one of the best edge rushers in America, and could’ve been a first round pick last year had he declared himself eligible. This is a Falcons team that is only going to be as good as their defense will allow them to be in 2019, and Burns would be a major upgrade on the edge, and his addition could possibly lead Beasley to returning to his old form.
