. Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma. Cody Ford. 17. player. 31

It came as quite a shock to the NFL landscape when the New York Giants traded away Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns a few weeks back. For Beckham, the Giants received the Browns first and third round picks in 2019, as well as safety Jabrill Peppers, not a bad haul.

While the Giants do need a quarterback, based on the way this draft is laid out, look for them to add an offensive tackle here at No.17 overall. When it comes to this draft class, there are very few offensive linemen that are as versatile as Cody Ford, who has spent the last two years protecting the backs of Heisman Trophy winners.

When it comes to this Giants team, if they are going to continue to roll with Eli Manning, being better upfront has to be a priority. Ford is a guy who the Giants could use in the multiple positions as New York could use him at right tackle, or in the interior of their offensive line this upcoming season.

Holding two first round picks is certainly good ammunition if the Giants decide they want to move up into the top two spots and select a quarterback. However, this is a team that seems content on playing Eli Manning a quarterback for next year, and possibly 2020, so why not get better upfront on both sides of the ball instead.
