Kentucky. Josh Allen. 3. player. 30. . Edge

The New York Jets currently hold the No. 3 overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, and they certainly have a few holes left to fill after a pretty active free agency period. During this off-season, the Jets have done a nice job adding players via free agency, and through trades, including running back Le’Veon Bell, as well as linebacker C.J. Mosley.

Those two players were the marquee players available at their specific position during this free agency, so this is a Jets team that got significantly better over the past month. Now, it will be up to the front office to make sure they make the right choice at number three overall, where they should look to add an edge rusher.

If Nick Bosa is off the board by the time the Jets pick, the next best edge rusher in this draft class is Josh Allen from Kentucky. Adding Allen to a defense that has already added Mosley this off-season would give the Jets a strong unit on two levels of their defense, making them a team to keep an eye on next season.

Remember, the Jets are going to this season with a brand new head coach, as Adam Gase will replace the fired Todd Bowles. There is a lot to like about this roster moving forward, including franchise quarterback Sam Darnold, who will be expected to take a big step forward in year number two.
