The Jacksonville Jaguars made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game two years ago, losing despite holding a 10-point advantage over the New England Patriots heading into the fourth quarter. Since then, the Jaguars have been on a steady decline, thanks in large part to the ineffective play of quarterback Blake Bortles.

In 2019, the Jaguars will not have to worry about Bortles anymore, as he was let go by the team after signing a huge deal a few years back. In his place, the Jaguars will have a former Super Bowl MVP, as they signed former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles last month.

With Foles under center, the Jaguars are in much better shape than they would be with Bortles, and they should be able to be a contender in the AFC in 2019. When it comes time for them to draft in the first round this Thursday, they should look to put some protection in front of Foles, using their first round pick on an offensive tackle.

The first tackle off the board could be Jonah Williams from Alabama, who has the ability to play both tackle and guard at the NFL level. While he was an All-American tackle at Alabama, he has the size to be an All-Pro at the guard position in the NFL, and that is where the Jaguars may end up sticking him.
