2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray finally goes to Cardinals
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills have done a nice job adding talent on both sides of the ball this off-season, and are a couple pieces away from once again being a Wild Card team. Two years ago, in head coach Sean McDermott’s first season at the helm, the Bills erased 17 years of playoff futility, though they lost in the Wild Card round.
Fast forward two years later, and the Bills are in position to be one of the better teams in the AFC East next season. While the New England Patriots have dominated the division for the last 20 years, the Bills could be a sleeper pick to find themselves in position for a Wild Card berth in 2019. Remember, they struggled in part last season because they had a rookie quarterback under center.
When it comes to their roster, the defensive line took a big hit with the retirement of Kyle Williams after the 2018 season. Luckily for the Bills, there are some solid defensive tackle prospects in this draft class, including Christian Wilkins from Clemson.
While many people don’t have a top-10 grade on Wilkins, he’s the second-best defensive tackle in this draft class, and he would be a perfect fit in Buffalo. Thanks the Wilkins, the Tigers won two national championships during his time on campus, and he heads to Buffalo with a winning pedigree.
