High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs UTA – $10,400): Needs 48.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.75 fantasy points against Utah. Harden may have been down in Game 4 but he’s not a guy I’m worried about. He’ll adjust, he’ll get the home cooking, and he’ll bounce back with a strong performance against an overmatched squad. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Donovan Mitchell (at HOU – $7,600): Needs 35.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47.25 fantasy points against Houston. Mitchell has shown up in the last two games but I’m not sure if he can carry that back to Houston, where he hasn’t been good. But I don’t like Lou Williams any better and Mitchell has the higher ceiling at the moment. I trust Mitchell slightly more than I trust Lou. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Klay Thompson (vs LAC – $6,100): Needs 28.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.75 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Check and see if Klay goes for a swim prior to making any decisions. He showed up in Game 4 and obviously the minutes and opportunities are going to be there for him. But he hasn’t been the most reliable option in this series and that’s about my only concern. But we do know that Klay can get hot at any moment. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Patrick Beverley (at GS – $4,400): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Beverley showed up in a big way in Game 4 and the minutes will be there for him as long as the Clippers are competitive in the game. But his game usually doesn’t translate to DFS and that’s the concern. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
