Final 2019 NFL Mock Draft: Ed Oliver rises, Dwayne Haskins slides
19. Tennessee Titans – Brian Burns, Edge, Florida State
When you play in the AFC South with Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson, you’re going to need to be able to rush the passer if you have hopes of winning the division. That’s why the Titans take Florida State edge rusher, Brian Burns. The former top recruit burst on the scene with 8.5 sacks as a freshman in 2016 before setting a career-high with 10 in 2018. He’s a bit undersized for a true defensive end, but if he can stay north of 250 pounds, he should be solid enough to be a third-down rusher immediately as a rookie.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers – Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
Cornerbacks have been mocked to the Steelers for most of the pre-draft process. Whether it was Greedy Williams, Deandre Baker or Byron Murphy, they could have their pick of the top corners. This mock gives them Murphy, a standout on Washington’s strong defense. He should be an early impact performer to shore up the back end of the Steelers defense that has been in need of a talent upgrade for several seasons.
