5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Devin White, LB, LSU

Devin White to the Buccaneers is another projection that feels like it’s been rock solid for the better part of the last month. Tampa Bay is in a good position where they can take the best player available and a few players make sense at this pick, but White is the best pick.

A former high school running back, White has the ability to chase down backs out of the backfield, can run with receivers and tight ends in coverage and he can rush the quarterback.

6. New York Giants – Josh Allen, Edge, Kentucky

The sixth pick is too high for the Giants to take a quarterback, especially with Josh Allen still on the board. Allen is one of the blue-chip defensive players in this draft. He is coming off a monster season at Kentucky where he had 17 sacks and was an All-American.

When the Giants won their past two Super Bowls, they did it with a dominant defensive line. Allen can immediately be the face of the defense and goes a long way toward GM Dave Gettleman’s rebuild efforts. With the No. 17 pick in hand, the Giants will look to address the quarterback position then.
