Seattle Seahawks

Seattle has already made a big splash in round one, trading Frank Clark to the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday. In winning that trade, the team also provided itself some flexibility.

Even with that additional pick, the Seahawks only have five picks in the draft. Moving down from one of those spots (21 or 29, respectively) makes all the sense in the world.

Teams may start looking to trade up at either of those positions for a cornerback, an offensive linemen or a wide receiver. If Hollywood Brown falls to 21, a team like Philadelphia or Green Bay could move up. Or a team could move up to get ahead of Oakland to take running back Josh Jacobs.

At 29, teams are going to be actively looking to get back into the first round to secure a fifth year option for their young investment. The Cardinals, the 49ers and the Giants make a great deal of sense here, perhaps all targeting a wide receiver like DK Metcalf, or a cornerback like Greedy Williams.

Percentage chance: 90. The Seahawks need picks and will likely take a second and a third, if necessary, to move down 10-15 picks.

LA Rams

Like the Seahawks, the Rams will benefit from having teams trying to get into the end of the first round to secure the fifth-year option.

In addition, Los Angeles is looking for depth at this point, at almost every position. They could stay put and add offensive line or defensive line depth; but the value differential won’t be great between picks 31 and 45, so trading down, securing an additional third or a first/second in 2020, makes a great deal of sense.

Finally, the Rams only have four draft picks in total this year, and zero picks in the second or third round.

Again, the Cardinals, the 49ers, and the Giants may be targeting a wide receiver like DK Metcalf, or a cornerback like Greedy Williams. Those are currently the two most likely top prospects to make teams want to trade up at this point.

Percentage chance: 90.  A combination of a team that needs additional selections, and teams looking to secure a falling talent, make this a highly likely scenario.
