High Salary Guards

Players costing over $8,333

Jamal Murray (at SA – $9,000): Needs 43.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.5 fantasy points against San Antonio. Don’t pay too much attention to how many fantasy points a player needs because salaries and needed points will change depending on who you make your captain. And salaries are a bit inflated in single games. I love Murray on this night because he’s not going to be afraid of the moment and is going to go right at the Spurs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Derrick White (vs DEN – $8,400): Needs 40.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.5 fantasy points against Denver. I still have to trust the Spurs to an extent at home but White hasn’t had it in the last two games and I’m overall worried about the Spurs because their offense is just so bland while the Nuggets are playing the beautiful game. I like his overall skillset but it’s just not there right now. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

DeMar DeRozan (vs DEN – $10,600): Needs 48.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.5 fantasy points against Denver. I don’t know what you’re getting out of DeRozan in this game. The ceiling is high because it’s DeRozan and he can always score. But the floor is low because it’s playoff DeRozan in an elimination game. He’s either going to rise because Spurs and Pop. Or sink because DeRozan. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
