61. Kansas City Chiefs—Lonnie Johnson CB Kentucky

It is blatantly obvious the the Kansas City Chiefs will be targeting secondary help with their two second-round picks. They sent their first-round pick to Seattle for pass rusher Frank Clark. It is imperative they find some corner help to remake this defense. Lonnie Johnson of Kentucky is a traits player who has all the tools of a lock-down corner. Standing almost 6-foot-2 with 33.5 inch arms and a 4.5 40-yard dash, it is easy to see Johnson become a solid corner at the next level. He’s got some work to do on his technique but a smart team like Kansas City will bank on those traits.

62. New Orleans Saints—Parris Campbell WR Ohio State

New Orleans hit a home run with a second-round receiver out of Ohio State with Michael Thomas a few years ago. The Saints go back to the well in 2019 to grab another one with Parris Campbell being available. The speedster for the Buckeyes is not just a deep threat and can be a weapon for coach Sean Peyton. Drew Brees has shown no signs of slowing down, so instead of preparing for his departure, New Orleans needs to build around him. Not only will it help immediately but when the Saints do transition away from the Hall of Famer, the next guy up will have plenty to work with. Campbell, if he can clean up some drops and get more nuanced with routes, will be a terror for opposing defenses.

63. Kansas City Chiefs—Taylor Rapp, S, Washington

If Lonnie Johnson was a traits based player with questionable film, the Chiefs should pivot and pick a prospect with great film and some questionable traits. That is what Washington safety Taylor Rapp is. His sub-par running at the combine really tanked his stock. On the field, he’s a versatile secondary player who may be the most sure tackler in the entire draft. When Rapp gets a hold of an offensive player, he’s taking that guy to the ground. Kansas City needs help at safety after losing Eric Berry. Rapp pairs well with Tyrann Mathieu to give the Chiefs two aggressive safeties who can play near the line of scrimmage and be matchup pieces. This pick could also be a receiver with the recent Tyreek Hill news.

64. New England Patriots—Charles Omenihu, DL, Texas

Getting Charles Omenihu to the Patriots has been my dream throughout this draft process. No one uses “tweener” defensive lineman like coach Bill Belichick. Omenihu is caught in that troublesome spot of two big for an end and two small for a tackle. In a multiple front like the Patriots, he can be let loose to cause chaos. Omenihu whipped up on some of the best prospects when he played the Oklahoma Sooners and caught plenty of eyes. His testing showed he’s a very explosive athlete with insane length. Belichick can have him line up all over his defensive line and use him to get after the passer. Omenihu could be the replacement for Trey Flowers that this team will need going into next season.
