Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Jokic (vs SA – $10,100): Needs 49.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 79 fantasy points against San Antonio. It’s clear that the Spurs don’t really have an answer for Jokic and I’m not doubting him in this Game 7. He should put up big numbers once again unless the Nuggets are just overwhelmed by the moment. I don’t expect them to be overwhelmed by the moment. Jokic will step up again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Joel Embiid (at TOR – $9,900): Needs 48.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.75 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Embiid averaged 50.6 fantasy points in four games against the Raptors in the regular season. But he didn’t have to go up against Marc Gasol, who will be a tough matchup in the post. Still, it’s Embiid. He’s the most dominant center in the league for a reason. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Players costing $6,250 or under

Marc Gasol (vs PHI – $5,100): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.75 fantasy points against Orlando. Gasol didn’t play big minutes in the first round and the fit hasn’t quite worked in Toronto, at least in DFS terms. But he could see big minutes against the Sixers because he’s going up against Embiid. He should get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Jakob Poeltl (at DEN – $4,500): Needs 21.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.75 fantasy points against Denver. Poeltl has been playing well in this series and remains at a good salary given his minutes and opportunities. He’s just been able to get it done for the Spurs and Game 7 is going to be tough but Spurs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
