FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 27, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,667
Kawhi Leonard (vs PHI – $9,700): Needs 39.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.4 fantasy points against Orlando. I love Leonard in this game. I still don’t fully like the Sixers defense and I know how good Kawhi is. He’s the best player in this series and he can takeover on both ends of the floor. Expect a statement game out of Kawhi in this game. Unless it’s Game 1 Raptors. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Rudy Gay (at DEN – $5,500): Needs 22.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.8 fantasy points against Denver. Gay has been all over the place this series but we know he can get hot from the field. I just don’t trust him to get all that hot in Denver. It’s cold in Denver, even in the spring. But Gay will get the minutes and opportunities and there isn’t a ton to love at the position. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
JJ Redick (at TOR – $4,500): Needs 18.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 15.2 fantasy points against Brooklyn. The Monstars stole Redick’s powers because he just isn’t shooting the ball all that well despite being one of the best shooters in NBA history. He’ll continue to get minutes and shots and the ceiling is high if he can get hot. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Norman Powell (vs PHI – $4,300): Needs 17.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.8 fantasy points against Orlando. Will Barton is your other option in this position but he hasn’t shown up in recent contests. Powell played well at the end of the series for the Raptors and maybe gets enough minutes to impress in Game 1. He’s an option, though you may just want to burn this spot and save money. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
