The Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors kick off their second-round series in Toronto. Here’s everything you need to watch this huge Game 1.

This matchup between two Eastern Conference juggernauts and potential championship contenders kicks off Saturday evening in Toronto. Both the Raptors and 76ers hit early speed bumps in their first-round series but bounced-back and rolled through their opponents to hit the second round.

Toronto’s defense smothered the Magic after Game 1 and their ability to match up well with the 76ers’ starting lineup should give them plenty of confidence. In particular, their defensive versatility with Pascal Siakam and Kawhi Leonard means they can handle all sorts of arrangements and Marc Gasol has as impressive a track record of individual defense on Joel Embiid as anyone.

How the 76ers matchup defensively is going to be a big question, as they don’t really have an ideal defender for Kyle Lowry. Their bench is not nearly as deep as Toronto’s though, so they’ll need to figure out how to squeeze as many positive minutes as possible at of this starting five. That group was incredibly effective though against the Nets, outscoring Brooklyn by an average of 62.2 points per 100 possessions across 49 minutes in the first round.

Because of midseason additions — Tobias Harris and Marc Gasol — we haven’t seen the present iterations of these teams match up yet. However, both are great at both ends and with the kind of versatility and adaptability that should make this series a fascinating chess match. You won’t want to miss the opening moves in Game 1.
