1. Washington Redskins

Daniel Snyder has made many questionable decisions at the owner of the Redskins, but it looks like he let his front office handle this year’s draft. That paid off handsomely.

The two most important position in today’s NFL are quarterback and edge rusher. It’s no coincidence that the Redskins used both of their first round picks to attack their needs at both spots.

Dwayne Haskins only started for one season at Ohio State, but he was deadly for the Buckeyes. It’s best if he’s not forced to play right away, but make no mistake, he deserves to be called the Redskins’ quarterback of the future.

Montez Sweat fell, in part, due to concerns about his heart, but if his medicals check out he could turn into a dominant rusher off the edge. His combination of size, length and blazing speed will be a nightmare for every tackle he comes up against.

The Redskins were even kind enough to use their third round pick on a teammate of Haskins. Terry McLaurin should develop into a big-play threat once he gets comfortable with Jay Gruden’s offense. Sixth round selection Kelvin Harmon will add some much-needed physicality to the receiving corps.

The combination of high-end talent and depth makes the Redskins the winner of this year’s NFL Draft. Washington fans will hope that turns into wins next season.
