FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup — April 28, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Kyrie Irving (at MIL – $9,500): Needs 41.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 26.9 fantasy points against Indiana. The Celtics couldn’t win on the road against the Bucks last season. But that was without Kyrie Irving. Now Irving is back and he’s going to be a big reason why the Celtics are competitive on the road in this series. Expect him to deliver big. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Chris Paul (at GS – $8,200): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 38.1 fantasy points against Utah. Chris Paul has been reliable in the playoffs and this is his moment. He’s been waiting to get revenge on the Warriors and he gets to go up against a banged up Warriors squad. Harden will get his, but expect Paul to have a big outing as well given the circumstances. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Eric Bledsoe (vs BOS – $7,500): Needs 33 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 34.1 fantasy points against Detroit. We’re cheating off the bat because the value point guards just aren’t all that appealing. So, here we are with Bledsoe. He was dreadful against the Celtics last season and this, averaging 18.5 fantasy points in three games. The ceiling is high but be mindful of his struggles, especially at this salary. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.
Terry Rozier (at MIL – $3,900): Needs 17.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 17.7 fantasy points against Indiana. Terry Rozier isn’t going to get the minutes that he got in last seasons playoffs unless Brad Stevens really wants to get Bledsoe off his game. Don’t rule that out. But Bledsoe should get decent enough minutes to at least get you value. You can go with George Hill in this spot as well but for some reason I like Rozier as a sneaky play. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
