High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Clint Capela (at GS – $7,900): Needs 35.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 39 fantasy points against Utah. Clint Capela was slightly disappointing against the Jazz but he did show up in Game 6. He averaged 39.3 fantasy points in four games against the Warriors this season, though that number is inflated by a 63.7 fantasy point effort in OT on Jan. 3. The injury to Demarcus Cousins should certainly help. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Al Horford (at MIL – $6,800): Needs 30.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 33.9 fantasy points against Indiana. Death, taxes and Al Horford dominating the Bucks. He averaged 50 fantasy points in two games against the Bucks this season and was a tough matchup for them last season in the playoffs. It’s a different Bucks team and a year older Horford. But the ceiling is high. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brook Lopez (vs BOS – $6,500): Needs 29.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME: 30.5 fantasy points against Indiana. You typically know what you’re getting out of Brook Lopez. The minutes and opportunities are there and he has a high ceiling with his shooting. He wasn’t good against the Celtics this season, averaging 18.5 fantasy points in three games. That’s a bit worrisome. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Andrew Bogut (vs HOU – $4,700): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 4.2 fantasy points against LA Clippers. I don’t know how many minutes Andrew Bogut is going to get in this game. He might not start and if he doesn’t, the minutes aren’t guaranteed. Kevon Looney might be a better option at the power forward position. And this salary is a tad high. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
