High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

CJ McCollum (at DEN – $7,000): Needs 32.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.5 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. McCollum was good against the Thunder until foul trouble limited him in the final game. He’s a streaky player who always kills the Thunder, so I have a little less faith in him than I did in the first round. But the ceiling is high because he can hit tough shots and get hot. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $6,600): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.25 fantasy points against Toronto. Butler isn’t scoring the ball all that well right now, which is an issue for a guy who needs to score the ball. We know he can take over but he hasn’t been good enough since the first game of the playoffs. He’ll get numbers and the ceiling is high. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Gary Harris (vs POR – $4,900): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.75 fantasy points against San Antonio. Harris was a reliable option in the first round and he should continue to be a reliable option given his salary and minutes he’s getting. He averaged 25.3 fantasy points in three games against the Blazers this season. He should continue to be a consistent option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

JJ Redick (at TOR – $4,700): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26 fantasy points against Toronto. Redick found his shooting touch a little bit in Game 1 and that’s hopefully a good sign. He’s obviously going to get the minutes and opportunities. And he’s at a good salary given those minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
