High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

CJ McCollum (at DEN – $8,400): Needs 36 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.4 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. McCollum was great against the Thunder until the final game where he was in foul trouble. He’s usually a streaky player and he averaged 31.5 fantasy points in three games against the Nuggets in the regular season. The ceiling is high and I like his game but be wary based on the Thunder being the Thunder. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $7,200): Needs 30.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.1 fantasy points against Toronto. Butler was a big letdown in Game 1. And he just hasn’t been scoring the ball all that much. He’s better than he showed in Game 1 but it’s tough to trust Butler right now. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Torrey Craig (vs POR – $4,900): Needs 21 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 12.8 fantasy points against San Antonio. Craig is still getting enough minutes, which is a good sign. He had over 23 fantasy points in the two early April games against the Blazers. It’s not a strong night for value overall but Craig is going to get minutes if nothing else, which helps. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Gary Harris (vs POR – $4,800): Needs 20.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.5 fantasy points against San Antonio. Craig might have a higher ceiling, but I’m not even sure about that. And Harris is the more reliable option of the two. And he might even have the higher ceiling of the two. He was up-and-down against the Blazers this season but I like him in the playoffs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
