FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 29, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Nikola Jokic (vs POR – $11,300): Needs 50.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 66 fantasy points against San Antonio. Jokic has been a monster in the playoffs and I’m not going to doubt him. The Blazers defense isn’t as good as it showed against the Thunder. And Jokic is better than anyone on the Thunder as well. Much like Lillard, until I see him have a poor game, I’m going to trust that he has a big game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Joel Embiid (at TOR – $11,000): Needs 49.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.6 fantasy points against Toronto. Embiid will be better in Game 2. As I’ve been saying, the Sixers should be better in Game 2. It’s still a tough matchup for the Sixers and Embiid has his hands full, but he’s still Joel Embiid and we know he can dominate when he’s on his game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Enes Kanter (at DEN – $6,700): Needs 30 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.6 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. Kanter is currently questionable. If he doesn’t play, look at the Blazers starting lineup and grab. Some value there. Zach Collins and Jake Layman should get some extra playing time with no Kanter. If he does play, I don’t like him quite as much in this series. The Nuggets will likely expose him more than the Thunder did. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Marc Gasol (vs PHI – $5,600): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.4 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Gasol is seeing more minutes but it didn’t translate to bigger numbers. He’s doing his job defensively but that play doesn’t mean anything for DFS players. He’s still your best value option unless the Blazers get crazy with Kanter’s injury. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
