11. Everyone on 9-1-1

Obviously, there are dozens upon dozens of television series vying for our attention right now, more than we could ever dream of streaming in a single weekend. Within those shows, likable characters abound, but the one new hit series that features a cast full of likable leads is FOX’s Ryan Murphy-produced procedural 9-1-1. When the you-know-what goes down, this team of first responders, cops, and 911 operators are the team you want in your corner.

Leading the Station 118 crew at the LAFD, Captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) hangs onto one tragic backstory of addiction and loss. While his commitment to saving lives doesn’t make up for the mistakes he’s made, he’s still an admirable and dependable guy. Rounding out the team, Chimney (Kenneth Choi), Hen (Aisha Hinds), Buck (Oliver Stark), and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) have their quirks like any other human, but they a good-hearted bunch you love to watch.

And let’s not forget Angela Bassett’s rough-around-the-edges patrol sergeant Athena Carter Grant and Jennifer Love Hewitt’s broken but brave 911 operator Maddie Buckley. These are kind and generous characters you root for and actively want to see achieve happiness as they work dangerous miracles. Now, if you’re a real 9-1-1 fan, you probably don’t like Abby, Connie Britton’s incredible character from the first season. Although, that’s more about her leaving than her actual likability.
