2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa goes to Dolphins
By Brad Weiss
The Jacksonville Jaguars made a huge move during the 2019 offseason, getting rid of quarterback Blake Bortles, and replacing him with Nick Foles. The difference between these two quarterbacks is immeasurable, as one plays his best in the biggest of situations, and the other was about as ineffective as you can get.
Jacksonville will have to hope that they will be getting the same Foles as the guy who has led the Philadelphia Eagles to back-to-back playoff berths, as well as a Super Bowl ring. Foles has the kind of intangibles that can lead a team deep into the playoffs, and the Jaguars certainly have the talent to make some noise in the AFC South this season.
With Foles under contract, the Jaguars could be in play to make it to the playoffs in 2019, but if not, they will be picking towards the middle of the first round. With this pick, they should look to add a quality wide receiver to the mix, and Ceedee Lamb from Oklahoma is one of a handful of wideouts that should go in the first round in 2020.
Two years ago, the Jaguars made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, and had they had Foles at the time, may have beaten the New England Patriots. This is an AFC South that is going to be downright fun to watch next season, and Foles could be the X-factor this team needs to get back to the top of the division.
