2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa goes to Dolphins
By Brad Weiss
The Dallas Cowboys made it all the way to the Divisional Round last season, as they once again were the kings of the NFC East. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been a solid signal-caller since the team took him in the fourth round a couple years back, and Dallas has the talent to be a perennial playoff contender.
Last season, tight end Jason Witten decided to hang up his cleats, and made the unfortunate decision to be a host on Monday Night Football. Let us just say, he is a much better tight end than he is a broadcaster, and luckily for all of America, he will be back on the field in 2019, and out of the booth.
In the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Dallas should look to find his replacement, and Albert Okwuegbunam from Missouri is one of only a couple tight ends with a first round grade right now. Prescott loves to utilize his tight ends, and this big fella from Missouri could be the next great tight end for America’s Team.
Witten is old, and while he may show flashes this upcoming season, the Cowboys need a long-term answer at the tight end position. Okwuegbunam can be that kind of player, and with so many good, young players on this roster, Dallas should be good for quite a while.
