28. . Linebacker. Miami (FL). Shaquille Quarterman. 25. player

The Oakland Raiders, for the second year in a row, will go into draft season with two first round picks. Of course, they had to give up a ton to earn that distinction, as the Chicago Bears gave them two first round picks for Khalil Mack, a generational edge rusher that certainly could have helped the Raiders last season.

In 2018, the Raiders mustered up only 13 sacks as a team, 17 sacks below the next team, as they were led by a rookie defensive tackle in the category. They made sure to address that via the 2019 NFL Draft, drafting three defensive ends, including Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell with the No. 4 overall selection.

Looking ahead, the Raiders will have to do something to bring in more talent at linebacker, as they added some veteran players at the position this offseason. One player to keep an eye on in this draft class is Shaquille Quarterman from Miami (FL), who would is a solid tackler, and also has the ability to get after the quarterback.

The truth is, the Raiders are going to be a lot better in 2019, and Mel Kiper Jr. went on the record in saying he feels the team will win ten  games, and be the champs of the AFC West. While that would be quite the comeback from a four-win 2018 season, they did add a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, and anything can happen in today’s NFL.
