The New Orleans Saints made it all the way to the NFC title game last season, though a blown call really ended up ruining their run to the Super Bowl. Still, they are one of the best teams in football, and as long as Drew Brees is their quarterback, they will continue to be a perennial playoff contender.

For Brees, the records keep piling up, as the quarterback has become one of the best in the history of the game to ever do it. Incredibly, he continues to put up big numbers year after year, and the Saints could possibly get him another Super Bowl ring before all is said and done.

Heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, New Orleans is likely slated for the bottom of the first round, as they will be one of the better teams in football again in 2019. With this pick, they could get some solid offensive line talent, and Mekhi Becton from Louisville is one of the better offensive tackle prospects in this draft class.

Brees is not going to play forever, but he also is not showing signs of slowing down, so why not add more talent in front of him. Becton is a guy who could come in and play right away at the NFL level, and the more time Brees has in the pocket, the more times than not the Saints will come out victorious.
