High Value Guards

Players costing under $8,333

Gary Harris (vs POR – $7,200): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.25 fantasy points against Portland. Harris is a guy where you can take as a low-cost option in the captain spot to help you save money to grab some higher salary guys to fill out the rest of your roster. He’s a reliable option and I have no concern about his game at the moment. He will continue to get it done. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Malik Beasley (vs POR – $4,800): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20 fantasy points against Portland. Beasley had a good first game for the Nuggets. He looks to be in a favorable position in the rotation, which certainly helps. The minutes are there and he can do a little bit of everything in those minutes. A low-cost captain option if you go that route. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Rodney Hood (at DEN – $3,000): Needs 13.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22 fantasy points against Denver. As a guard who can score against a defense that has trouble stopping guards, maybe this will be a good series for Hood. He got off to a nice start and should earn more minutes moving forward. I wouldn’t fully trust him but he’s an option. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
