High Salary Guards

Players costing over $12,000

Damian Lillard (at DEN – $16,000): Needs 69.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.6 fantasy points against Denver. I’m not doubting Dame in these playoffs. I have a hard time trusting the rest of the Blazers because I didn’t buy into them after they beat OKC. But I 100% buy into Dame. He’s the best player in this series. Sorry, Nikola. If you’re going to take him, take him in one of your top two spots. The only guy above him should be Jokic. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jamal Murray (vs POR – $14,000): Needs 61.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40 fantasy points against Portland. Murray is streaky but I love him in this series due to his shooting and my distrust of the Blazers defense. He can get hot at any moment and he plays a part in slicing through the Blazers defense. He’s also at home, which helps. I’m always going to trust good shooters at home more than I will on the road. Murray should deliver again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

CJ McCollum (at DEN – $13,500): Needs 57.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.3 fantasy points against Denver. As I said prior to Game 1, McCollum is a streaky player. He’s going to have his big games but he’s also going to have his rough games. You can afford a rough game at this salary. Proceed with caution. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
